Family Medicine
Dr. Baker received her medical degree from the University of Louisville in Kentucky and completed her residency and a Fast Track (emergency medicine) at Mt. Sinai Hospital. Dr. Baker is passionate about women’s health and is an active supporter of the Stand Against Cancer program, which promotes low-cost breast and cervical cancer screenings. She has also completed an HIV specialty at Children’s Memorial Hospital. "I enjoy working with patients and am attached to the kids that come in to see me,” Dr. Baker says, and she adds that she feels fulfilled working with the underserved and underinsured. In her free time, she can be found working out at the gym, jogging along the lake, or cooking and baking. Dr. Baker loves to travel and enjoys the outdoors, but she can also be found quietly enjoying some jazz while reading a good book, or enjoying the museums in Chicago.
La doctora Baker recibió su diploma médico en la University of Louisville en Kentucky y completó su residencia en medicina de emergencia en el Mt. Sinai Hospital. La doctora Baker es una apasionada en los programas de salud para la mujer, coopera activamente en los programas de Lucha Contra el Cáncer que promocionan la detención temprana del cáncer de seno y del cervix a bajo costo. Ella completó cursos especiales de VIH en el Children’s Memorial Hospital. Disfruta trabajando con sus pacientes y se siente muy cerca de los niños que vienen a verla. La doctora Baker está muy identificada trabajando con pacientes de bajos recursos económicos y con insuficiente seguro (aseguranza) médica. En sus ratos de ocio ella disfruta yendo al gimnasio, corriendo (trotando) cerca del lago y además cocinando y horneando, también le gusta viajar y disfrutar de la naturaleza como de la lectura de un buen libro escuchando jazz y visitando los museos de Chicago.
