The 2nd Annual Pin-A-Sister Sunday will be held Sunday, May 11, at churches and cathedrals throughout the city, suburbs and downstate. This Stand Against Cancer event is sponsored by Access Community Health Network and other local organizations to highlight the importance of early breast cancer detection and treatment. Women across the region will be pinned with pink ribbons in memory of those affected by breast cancer. For more information about how you can participate, call 773.257.5901.
Also, watch for billboards around Chicago beginning May 6th, featuring local media and political and faith-based leaders that illustrate a united Stand Against Breast Cancer and an appeal for women who need mammograms and pap smears to call for referrals.
