Program Description: 

Access Community Health Network is committed to providing quality health and support services to women and their children. Most ACCESS health centers offer comprehensive OB/Gyn services for moms and babies. In addition, a variety of case management and support programs are also offered at many ACCESS sites.

OB/Gyn Services

  • Pregnancy testing
  • Prenatal care
  • Free prenatal and parenting classes
  • Doula services
  • Anticipatory guidance visits
  • Specialty care for high risk pregnancies
  • Gynecological exams
  • Cervical cancer screening
  • Colposcopy

Midwifery
In addition to traditional OB care, ACCESS is proud to offer midwifery services by Certified Nurse Midwives. A Certified Nurse Midwife is a registered nurse with a Masters degree that has passed a national exam in midwifery. Certified Nurse Midwives follow the same guidelines and procedures as Obstetricians.

Cost: 

Medicaid, Medicaid HMO, Medicare and most major health plans are accepted to cover the costs of medical care. All uninsured pregnant women are eligible for All Kids--Moms and Babies to cover the costs of their prenatal and post-pardum care. A sliding-fee scale based on ability to pay is available for uninsured patients. Case management services are provided at no charge.
