Dr. Shah received his medical degree in his native India and at Cook County Hospital, completed his residency at Cook County, and finished a fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at the University of Illinois at Chicago Hospital and Rush University Medical Center. According to Dr. Shah, the best part of being a physician is getting involved with the patient and their family. “I love talking and being with patients,” he says. Dr. Shah is the father of three children who keep him busy at home. In his free time, Dr. Shah enjoys golfing, playing bridge, bird watching, and the outdoors. He is fluent in English, Gujarati and Hindi.
